I am reaching out for the last time this year to express a massive thank you 🫡, and to share a few updates. Incredibly, the User Profile plugin has now been used by over 231,000 designers worldwide, including teams from Microsoft, IBM, Kakao, Siemens, Spotify, HubSpot, and more—and that's not even counting AdobeXD plugin users.
Overview of Changes
My aim is to present you with more useful features without changing the fundamental core of the plugin. With this update, you no longer need to select a shape before inserting an image. Now, a simple button press does the trick, but for those who prefer the old way, shape selection is still available. Both methods work seamlessly. I've completely overhauled the plugin, adopting technologies like "Vue" and "Vite" for faster and more stable performance. A new API server has also been developed, which is under constant supervision to ensure optimal operation.
"Open a task" now launches a plugin task directly, while "Reapply image settings" lets you apply the same settings from the image with ease.

This new addition will become particularly useful when community tasks are introduced, and it pairs perfectly with the "quick actions" for a streamlined experience.

Improved History
I've designed a more intuitive interface for the history selection, enabling you to drag and drop images into your Figma file effortlessly.

I am working on the refreshed hub to discover unique hyper-realistic avatars and other styles, crafted to inspire and transform your designs. Currently, it's in the experiment phase and will be available for early access to closed beta testers who signed up for the User Profile test lab, targeting availability around the start of next year.
Wondering about the cost? Our AI-driven image generation is powered by high-performance GPUs, which bring substantial operating costs. To manage this, we will be rolling out a subscription model. The cost will be similar to what you might spend on a coffee—somewhere between $9 and $16.
FigJam Images | Hot Fix
A big thank you to janezhang for highlighting a critical issue with our FigJam integration. Users experienced disappearing images after closing their FigJam files. We've swiftly addressed this problem, and I'm pleased to report that it has now been fixed. Your feedback is invaluable and helps us improve and ensure a seamless design experience.
